Long claws dug into the flesh of the dragon hunter. Cries rang through the air as the half dragon let out a triumphant roar, another of many of his enemies slowly dying in a pool of blood. He slowly removed his blood soaked talons, and huffed and the now lifeless body below him.
“He’s dead, Chaos.” A deep voice erupted from the green haired man. He kicked dirt onto the body below, just enough to cover the mans face, before turning to the other half dragon.
“Whew, I could use claws like yours, Shiroi.” Chaos praised with a grin, causing the other man to simply huff.
“If you stopped chewing yours off then maybe you’d have claws like mine.” Shiroi teased, sticking out his long, blue tongue.
“It's not my fault I'm always nervous!” Chaos whined, pouting. Shiroi chuckled lowly, wrapping an arm around the blonde haired boy.
“I'm just teasing, calm down.” The green haired man assured his partner, long claws stroking fluffy blonde locks of hair. A purr erupted from the smaller boy as he leaned into the sudden touch.
“You remind me of a Cheetah, you know, ferocious around enemies, yet so submissive towards those you love.” Shiroi smirked, causing the blonde to huff and look away, in an attempt to prove the other man wrong.

The trees shook violently, flocks of birds racing through the sky, jolting the dragons from their warm embrace. Loud, bang like noises erupted through the air, causing both boys to widen their eyes.
“Gunshots.” They breathed in unison, clouds of smoke flowing out of Chaos’s nostrils. Large, pale blue wings stretched into a flight like position, before Shiroi took off through the trees, Chaos quickly following. The blonde flapped his large wings, black and bold like an eagles, in a desperate attempt to catch up to his beloved.
“Hurry it up, Chaos!” Shiroi snapped in command, his wings beating with a more furious pace.
“You know I can't fly well, Bonkotsu!” Chaos barked in response, still desperately trying to keep to the larger males pace. The gun shots suddenly grew much louder, and a deep, almost manic voice erupted through the silence, pausing the dragons in their tracks. Fear took hold of Chaos, who began to shake.
“Is it who I think it is?”
“Gravekeeper? Yep, it is.” Shiroi slowly landed, keeping as quiet as possible. Chaos eventually followed, though instead of landing normally, he instantly went low to the ground.
“Chaos you idiot, what are you doing?!”
“Keeping out of sight, you know how much trauma Gravekeeper has caused for me!”

“Unfortunately, I do.”

The Mount Tambora Eruption of 1815 is the most dangerous eruption ever recorded in the world. The Volcano is located in Sumbawa Island, Indonesia. It exploded in April, 1815. The volcano remains as an active volcano, smaller explosions took place in 1880 and 1967, and seasmic activity increasing during the years of 2011, 2012, and 2013. The eruption began on the 5th of April, with small tremors and pyroclastic blasts. The deadly blast that shattered the mountain apart occured on the evening of the 10th of April. The blast, tsunamis, and pyroclastic flows that came after killed about 10,000 islanders, and destroyed roughly 35,000 homes. Before the eruption Tambora was about 4300 metres (14000 feet) high. After the deadly blast a large crater spanning 6 kilometres (3.7 miles) across remained. Tambora is a Stratovolcano. This means that they are usually dangerous volcanoes, they produce ash, and is composed of many layers of hardened lava, tephra, pumice and ash. The large eruption caused crop failure and chilling temperature drops for an entire year, causing 80,000 people to perish due to disease and famine.

Egyptian pyramids

In social studies we have been researching the ancient Egyptian pyramids, and were then tasked to create our own pyramid. In Egypt, there are 138 pyramids, with the biggest one being the great pyramid of Giza. The pyramids were used as burial places and monuments of the Pharaohs, where Pharaoh's were buried when they died, along with special items and treasure, which people believed they would need to survive in the afterlife.

English-Speeches

In English, we wrote, practiced and performed speeches. My speech was an anylisation of the anime Yu-gi-oh, more specifically the character Seto Kaiba. I spoke about his past, the abuse he had to go through, and how through the influence of his rivals he changed from a heartless billionaire to a selfless duelist who is always willing to sacrifice himself when needed. I am proud of the fact that i pushed myself out of my comfort zone and performed in front of a small group, even going as far as to perform it in front of the entire class. For next time, i would change my topic and speak about a worldwide problem instead of something i am passionate about.

-Mummification: the Egyptians were experts at preserving bodies of the dead, so much so that even after thousands of years we can see what types of diseases Egyptians suffered from. this was done by:
-using a hook through the nose to remove the brain
-making a cut on the left side near the belly area and removing all internal organs
-letting the organs dry
-placing the lungs, liver, intestines and stomach inside jars
-placing the heart back into the body
-rinsing the body with wine and spices
-cover the corpse in natron salt for 70 days
-after 40 days stuff the body with sand to retain a more human shape
-after 70 days wrap the body in bandages from head to toe
-place the mummy in a sarcophagus {kind of like a coffin}
-if the body were of a Pharaoh, he would be placed inside a special burial chamber with his treasure.
