Should children under the age of 18 really be playing Danganronpa?
Firstly, what in the world is a Danganronpa?
Danganronpa is a video game series based in Japan, the first of the games: trigger happy havoc, was released in 2010, and the latest, killing harmony, was released in 2017. Danganronpa is a currently very popular game series, and its earning big money for team danganronpa, the creators of the franchise. The Danganronpa games involve 16 students, each with ultimate talents, e.g Entomologist, baseball player, fanfic writer, detective, pianist, e.c.t, and these 16 students are in a killing game, and one by one, these children die, either from murder of execution, except for a few who survive. The games locations are a school, ruled by the headmaster and creator of the killing game, Monokuma, a robotic teddy bear with one side of his face looking sweet and innocent, where as the other looks cruel and evil. The themes in Danganronpa include murder, blood, execution, as well as the few sexual themes. As well as the game, danganronpa also has a few mangas and animes created including the themes previously said. Danganronpa is a great game series in my opinion, but should children under the age of 18 really be playing these games? My answer: no. Why? The themes involved with these games can traumitize children and make them not want to come to school in the gear someone is trying to kill them. It can be especially traumitzing to those who are sensitive when it comes to murder, as there is a lot of murder involved with the games. It may be alright for those who are mature and can deal with these types of things, but its best to not take a risk.
So, should children under the age of 18 be playing Danganronpa? No, no they should not.
This actually sounds like quite an interesting game! Is it a single-player or multi-player? Also, what do you think it is about you that allows you to play the game without it being traumatizing?
